MClinDent in Periodontology
This MSc is comprised of multiple modules that may be taken as individual programmes which offer flexible training encompassing periodontology. Uniquely it also incorporates modules on implantology, a fundamental adjunct to any successful periodontal practice. This programme is ideal for anyone who wishes to increase their theoretical knowledge and clinical competence in periodontology and develop a preventive based practice.
Key Features:
- The programme provides students with the opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills on actual patients under supervision
- Students will be required to complete ten restorative cases leading to the award of the MSc in Periodontology. One of the cases will entail the treatment planning and restoration of a dental implant
- The programme incorporates training in advanced surgical techniques on dental models and manikins
- Students will learn about the latest diagnostic advances in computer assisted dentistry
