Botox (wrinkle reduction)

This procedure blocks release of acetylcholine which is the substance responsible for transmitting electrical impulses that elicit muscle contraction. Hyperactivity of the facial expression muscles often results in the development of deep frown lines, forehead lines and/or crows' feet. Injecting Botox into the affected area temporarily paralyses the underlying muscles responsible for wrinkling so giving the face a more relaxed and pleasant appearance. The wrinkles become smoother or disappear altogether.

Following treatment the effect becomes visible within 48 to 72 hours and continues to produce an improvement over a 2 week period. Your facial expression will become more relaxed but by no means mask-like. The overall result is very natural. The effect of treatment generally last 4 to 6 months after which another course is required.

Dermal Fillers

A dermal filler injection is used to fill lines, wrinkles or folds and is mainly Hyluronic acid (HA) based which in itself is a natural substance. It come in various volumes or thickness to correct from light sleep lines to heavy folds.
