Postgraduate Award in Aesthetic Periodontology

The postgraduate award in aesthetic periodontal is for dental surgeons who want to introduce soft tissue plastic surgery techniques as treatment modalities to their practices and who would like to receive credit for their training. An area of increasing concern is the emergence of peri-implantitis. This will be covered by the course and its aetiology and the latest management protocols will be taught. As implants become commonplace, dentists will have to be able to manage patients with both periodontal disease and peri-implant disease and manipulate soft tissue aesthetics in relation to implant restorations as well as teeth. The course covers the surgical and non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease and its implant counterpart peri-implantitis together with its diagnosis and prognosis.
