Post Graduate Award (PGA) In Natural Rejuvenation and Aesthetic Non-surgical Interventions (ANSI)

Overview of the 2 Day Award Programme

The PGA is open to everyone and would also be particularly beneficial to all ancillary personnel (eg receptionists, assistants)

In recent years there has been an increased demand from the public for cosmetic aesthetics procedures. Cosmetic aesthetics is a distinct and specialised area of practice for practitioners. Cosmetic aesthetics describes a range of minimally invasive, non-surgical clinical procedures that aim to combat the signs of aging and enhance facial features for the psychological benefit and well-being of the client or aim to address specific problems such as acne and sun damage.

It has been estimated that approximately 1.3 million cosmetic procedures are carried out in the UK each year and that non-surgical treatments account for 92% of the total.

There are currently no restrictions on who may perform cosmetic procedures, no qualification requirements and an absence of accredited training courses in an industry which is booming and was expected to be worth £3.6 billion in 2015.

Aims and Objectives

1)     To provide an introduction to the treatment modalities of natural rejuvenation and aesthetic non-surgical interventions.

2)     To understand the role of these treatments specifically in regards to facial enhancement.

3)     To provide an insight into setting up a successful and profitable ANSI practice.

4)     To understand the importance of appropriate training in order to successfully provide these procedures.

Outcomes

1)     To gain an understanding of how providing ANSI can benefit your practice both clinically and commercially, enhance your patient/client base and provide increased job satisfaction.

We hope that this 2 day Award Programme will stimulate and excite you to develop your career along the ANSI pathway via the Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) or Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip), which are one year or two year part time courses.

The aim of the 2 year Diploma Programme is to prepare cosmetic aesthetic practitioners to provide high standards of proficient patient/client-centred care and deliver cosmetic interventions safely and appropriately, adhering to the principles of ‘do no harm’ and promoting public health at all times, with skills and proficiency underpinned by person-centredness and appropriate theoretical knowledge. Elements of the Programme can be taken individually and a 1 year Certificate or short course options are available.
