Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) Programme
The overseas registration exam (ORE) is a two part examination process which tests the clinical skills and knowledge of dentists prior to GDC registration. This programme consists of two parts (ORE part 1 and ORE part 2) that follow the UK dental curriculum and uses modern teaching and assessment methods to prepare students for the ORE parts 1&2. It has been designed specifically for overseas qualified dentists whose primary qualification is from outside the EEA who intend to practice in the UK.
The ORE programme comprises of two intensive 2 week courses.

This module teaches the clinical skills necessary to make a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan based on evidence and patient needs. Part of the module involves interaction with an actor who will provide an appropriate history (but will not be examined), together with relevant additional information such as photographs, radiographs, study models or results of other special tests. |

During this module students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and manage medical emergencies. On conclusion of this module students will be required to take a structured scenario-based oral and demonstrate single handed basic life support techniques.
