Q. Does the school offer a grant or scholarship?

A. At the present time the School does not offer any grants or Scholarships’.

Q. Will I be able to claim any of the fees back from the Government, NHS or Inland Revenue?

A. The School cannot advise on this issue and you should contact the relevant authority.

Q. Is there a discount for multiple applications from the same family or country?

A. No the validating University will not allow this.

Q. Does the course fee include, transport, food and accommodation.

A. No the course fee is for the provision of teaching and training.

 

Academic Recognition

Q. Is the degree recognised as a UK award?

A. Yes the MClinDent degree is awarded by the leading private UK University with over 30 years experiences of providing professional education.

Q. Will the degree allow me to practice in the UK or be recognised as a professional qualification in another country?

A. The School cannot advise on this issue and you should contact the relevant authority.

Q. How many patients will I get to treat?

A. This question is normally raised by potential full time students. There is no set number of patients provided although each student must have seen enough patients to be able to present ten complete cases for review and examination.  To meet this course requirement a student will need to have seen many more patients although much will depend on the individual student’s competency and clinical ability.

Q. Will I be a specialist or is this an approved training programme to obtain specialist registration with the GDC.

A. Whilst the programme includes some of the elements typically seen in a specialist training programme the course its self is not a specialist training programme and does not entitle to be registered as a specialist in the UK.

Q. Can I be a specialist?

A. Completing a MClinDent will not allow you to use the term or imply that you are a specialist. However you can describe yourself as having a ‘special interest in’, 'experienced in’ or ‘practice limited to’ rather than using the terms ‘specialist’ or ‘specialising in’. The MClinDent is important as it is validation of your claim to describe and promote yourself as having a special interest is a particular field of dentistry. The MClinDent demonstrates you have been trained to deliver evidenced informed treatment plans and shows that you have undertaken degree level training and developed further competencies expected before you undertake more advance cases which you may not have acquired during your undergraduate training.

Q. Does Your MClinDent will allow student to sit any specialist examination?

A. We cannot advise on if our MClinDent will allow you to sit any specialist examinations you should contact the institutions directly regarding their regulations

Q. We will have an exam?

A. You won't have an exam but an assignment at the end of each module

Q. Any patient provided? Or candidate placing implant on their own patient at their practice?

A. The students will provide their own patients to be treated at original Centre. The Patient fee will go to the Centre. First five patients have to be treated under supervision. The remain at the student own practice.

Entry Requirements

For UK applicants:

  • Undergraduate qualification in Dentistry
  • Completion of at least one year in clinical practice
  • Current General Dental Council (GDC) practising certificate
  • Current evidence of malpractice indemnity insurance

For EU applicants:

  • Undergraduate qualification in Dentistry
  • Completion of at least one year in clinical practice
  • Letter of good standing or equivalent from an appropriate regulatory dental body
  • Prior to commencing clinical placement in the UK satisfactory compliance
  • Current satisfactory immunization status
  • Current evidence of a satisfactory CRB check

For overseas applicants:

  • Undergraduate qualification in Dentistry
  • Completion of at least one year in clinical practice
  • Letter of good standing or equivalent from an appropriate regulatory dental body
  • IELTS score of 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component)
  • Prior to commencing clinical placement satisfactory compliance:     
  • Current satisfactory immunization status
  • Current evidence of a satisfactory CRB check

English Language

ACADEMIC IELTS 6.5 (normally 6.0 in each component with an absolute minimum of 6.0 in writing) - The international office can assess your certificates and advise you if you meet the entry requirements. You can also visit the BPP website for a list of entry requirements from your country. The IELTS should also have been undertaken within the past year.
