About the Course

This course focuses on offering hands-on, under expert supervision, dental clinical training preparing dentists to place dental implants safely and legally in the United Arab Emirates.

An important feature of this dental internship course is the continuous supervised dental clinical training in which dental implants are placed in actual patients. Participating dental students will also be assisted in compiling a portfolio of cases they have treated as required for a license to place implants legally in the UAE in their own dental practices.

Course Structure

Dental clinical training is delivered monthly on Fridays and Saturdays at a multi-clinic in RAK Dental College which offers the very latest in digital technologies with access to cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).
Intern dentists will start placing dental implants, hands-on, from the first day within clinical training sessions that involve single and multiple dental implant placements including simple bone grafting procedures.
Intern dentists will work, under the direct supervision of international dental tuition experts on patients and will design the complete dental implant treatment plan from placement to fitting of the final restoration.

Programme

The course fee covers 30 fully-restored dental implants and covers clinical supervision, implants and laboratory bills (discounts are available on enquiry for advance payment, group size and 10% discount for RAK Students).
The fee can be paid by instalments starting from as little as AED 5,000 a month.
It delivers all current requirements for dental implantology privileges in the region. Surgical sessions every month using a leading UK Implant system. The dental course delivers up to 200 CME / CPD hours.
It focuses on providing all the clinical training required for dentists to place implants safely and legally in the UAE.

Regular monthly dental surgical training facilitated at RAK College of Dental Sciences.
Dentistry training may be taken to MSc degree level.
On successful completion of the dental programme, students will be provided with a signed log comprising of a portfolio of dental cases they have treated under expert supervision as required by the licensing authority.
Programme length and exit point will be determined by your own individual training requirement as specified by your relevant licensing authority.

Course Leader

Professor Stewart Harding 

Actual implant placements on provided cases will be supervised by Professor Harding, the course leader and clinical director. He is the Dean of The City of London Dental School and has been a full time resident in Dubai since 2010 and is a holder of Dubai Health Authority licence. Professor Harding has delivered implant training programmes globally and in the UAE for over 20 years, helping many local dentists to realise their ambition of becoming a skilled implant specialist dental surgeon.
