03/03/2022 - Medico-Legal Consequences of Implantology

With the growth in interest in implantology there has been a corresponding increase in implant-specific litigation with legal firms providing advice on how to be compensated should implants fail.

If you have never had an implant failure, then this course is not for you. If, on the other hand like most of us, you have experienced failure, and are placing or restoring implants you must be fully aware of your liabilities when providing elective implant treatment should that treatment fail and know how to limit your exposure to negligence claims.

This course will consider.

  • Risk-based Patient Assessment

  • Success vs Survival

  • Essential records

  • Obtaining Informed consent

  • Managing complications appropriately

  • Complaints management
