Dr Nik Pandya

Dr N PandyaDr Nik Pandya is a specialist in periodontics and an implant surgeon. He is clinical director of a busy referral practice in Essex and part time clinical tutor teaching postgraduate students in periodontology at Barts & The London Queen Mary school of dentistry.

He is a visiting academic at University of Essex. He is also a visiting implantologist to other practices and works alongside other local specialists in prosthodontics and orthodontics in developing a hypodontia clinic. In addition to his clinical duties Nik is chairman of the practitioners section of the British Society of Periodontology and an active member of the North Essex British Dental Association which he also used to chair. He is the current president elect of the Essex Branch of the BDA.

He has also been a visiting academic at the University of Warwick’s implantology course and is a member of ADI, AAP, ICOI and he sits on the education committee of the BSP. Currently he teaches eriodontology to postgraduate students at The Dental Institute of Queen Mary & Westfield, University of London and is a visiting Academic at University of Essex. He has a passion for teaching and is involved in many local and national courses. His research interest lies in guided bone and tissue regeneration and local antimicrobial delivery.

Dr Nik Pandya qualified from University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1983. Following hospital appointments, and general practice,  hecompleted a two-year postgraduate programme in eriodontology at the University of London in 1992.

Robin RatcliffeDr Robin Ratcliffe

Robin Ratcliffe qualified as a dentist with distinction from the London Hospital Dental Institute in 2003 with a portion of his education and research undertaken at Helsinki University Dental Institute Finland. He completed his periodontology postgraduate training in 2007 with distinction. He is currently certified in Dental Implantology by Warwick University. Robin has been a clinical teacher at Guy’s Dental Hospital for 7 years and works in a private referral practice in central London and the Home Counties.

Robin provides a full range of periodontal and implant dentistry, from the non-surgical and surgical management of gum disease to advanced bone and gum regeneration treatments and comprehensive planning for patients whose mouths have been severely damaged and require full rehabilitation.

In addition Dr Ratcliffe undertakes aesthetic gingival recontouring and gum grafting (mucogingival surgery) around natural teeth and implants. His latest area of development is research into the benefits of lasers in periodontal therapy.
