Dr Harish Gupta

BChD(Leeds) MGDS FFGDP(UK) RCS(Eng) MGDSRCS(Edin) MSc ImpDent(Warwick)

Dr Harish Gupta qualified from Leeds Dental School in December 1982. After a year at the Burton District and General Hospitals he joined general dental practice. This has become his ‘full-time’ occupation since 1984. He gained membership in general dental surgery from both the Edinburgh and English Royal Colleges in 1990. Since then he has been invited to present a number of lectures for the various vocational training schemes and GDPs in the West Midlands and Leeds.

 He was responsible for the MGDS study club in the West Midlands to help other GDPs to achieve  membership. He was the distance learning tutor for the West Midlands with a special responsibility and interest in computers in general practice. He is part of the West Midlands CVT practice visitation panel for training practices under the vocational training schemes.

 He is an examiner for the membership in general dental practice and continues to lecture and help organise various study groups for GDPs to prepare for this exam. Currently he is examiner for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

He achieved the Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (FFGDP(UK)) in November 2002 and is now a mentor to help others achieve the same. He is also a FFGDP(UK) assessor and an emeritus examiner for the MJDF(UK) examination for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and an examiner for the MFDS RCS (Edin). He studied in Hong Kong for the MFGDP(UK) exam. He was commissioned to be assistant chief examiner for the IQE examination in New Delhi India in March 2005.

He has lectured in the United Kingdom, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and India on implant dentistry, occlusion and endodontics. He is a founder member of the West Midlands Division of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK) and continues to play an active role in the local division. With his commitment to general practice he was commissioned to write the quality facilities review for the then Mida/Norwich Union Healthcare Dental division. He was a consultant clinical assessor for BUPA DentalCover and Denplan Dental Advisor Panel.

He started dental implant treatments in 1995 and undertook more formal training in implant dentistry in 1997/8. Following more formal teaching and presentation training he is now responsible for the delivery of the MSc programme in implant dentistry at the Warwick Dentistry where he is an honorary associate clinicalpProfessor and regional tutor. He gained an MSc in Implant Dentistry in 2006 from the Warwick Medical School. Harish is married with two children. He is the owner of a multiple disciplinary mixed dental practice and implant centre in Birmingham.

Harish’s personal practice motto is ‘Quality, Standards and Choice in the Dental Care’ and he is passionately committed to this.

Dr Jose Cordero Bayo

After Qualifying as a dentist from the University of Seville (Spain) in 2009, Jose relocated to England where he worked in general practice while he was studying different qualifications in different fields of dentistry. His implant dentistry training took place mainly in England but he also traveled around the world to get a better understanding of the different aspects/schools in Implant dentistry.

His special interest includes endodontics, periodontics, adult orthodontics, digital smile design as well as treating patient with dental phobia. His everyday practice is almost purely digitalized, using intraoral scanning and digitally planning his treatments. He is also a certified gold Invisalign provider.

Jose enjoys teaching and he has focused his career in acquiring knowledge of different fields of dentistry in order to start his PhD in Implant digital dentistry planning soon. He is now collaborating with the City of London Dental School as a module leader in the MSc in Digital Implant dentistry.

Dr Bita Craig DDS (Sweden), MclinDent Implant (UK)

Master’s in clinical Implantology, Advance Aesthetic dentistry, Facial aesthetic

Dr Bita Craig qualified from Gothenburg University in Sweden, 1997 and with her 21 years UK experience including 18 months in an implant clinic in Dubai, able to offer a vast range of treatment to her patients. Bita has had her own Dental practices in UK and has been the clinical lead for several practices. Bita is working with the University of Bristol in helping to train newly qualified general dental practitioners in clinical best practice procedures. In Dubai, Bita was a supervisor and course coordinator for implant training courses as well as for the regional centre of Warwick University UK.

Bita has pursued her postgraduate education in Master’s in Clinical Dentistry, Implant (BPP University London, 2017), Advanced aesthetic dentistry (UCL Eastman Dental Institute in 2009), Facial aesthetic (2008-2017) and is currently working on her Diploma degree in Dental Law and Ethics with university of Bedfordshire.

She has been speaker in the graduate conference presenting her research project and is in the process of publishing her research in the field of Implantology. She is committed to providing the highest quality and latest technology in dental care and as well as routine dentistry, she has been working with the more demanding aspects of cosmetic dentistry, smile reconstruction and full mouth rehabilitation.

Associate Implant Director

Dr. Robert Banks BDS (Lond) MSc (Implant Dentistry)

Dr. Robert Banks graduated from the Royal London Hospital in 1991. After a time spent in hospital practice in oral & maxillo-facial surgery he entered general dental practice and built up a busy private practice in Ashford Kent attracting patients from a wide area of southeast England and Europe.

Dr. Banks provides a full range of dental treatments including endodontic and prosthetic treatments and has a special interest in dental implantology. He holds a masters degree in implant surgery and has held academic teaching posts at both Warwick University and BPP University. He is actively involved in dental education, teaching dental implant practical skills to masters students on the university’s MClinDent programme.

Dr. Banks is a member and former non-executive director of the British Dental Association having been elected to office representing dentists from the Southern Counties of England.

Professor Ziad N. Al-Dwairi

Professor Ziad N. Al-Dwairi works as Vice Dean and Director of Dental Teaching Clinics at Faculty of Dentistry/ Jordan University of Science and technology. He is Professor of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry at Jordan University of Science and Technology, holds PhD in Prosthodontics, Queens University/Belfast, UK in 2001, Fellowship of The International Academy of Dento Facial Esthetics (FIADFE) in 2012 and Fellowship of the International College of Dentists FICD/2015, Fellowship of The Academy of Dentistry International/2016(FADI), Fellowship of the Pierre Fauchard Academy FPFA/2017 and

Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDSRCPS-Glasg)/2017 and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDSRCS-Ed)/2017, Membership of Royal College of Surgeons of England (MFDSRCS Eng) and membership of Faculty of General Dental Practice; MFGDP(UK)/2017.

Currently he holds the following positions:

-          Visiting Professor of Prosthodontics at City of London Dental School, (UK).

He worked as vice president of the Restorative Dentistry Committee/ Jordan Medical Council and Member of the National Committee for contentious medical education/Jordan Medical Council. He is a former member of University Council/Jordan University of Science and Technology and worked as Chairman of the Prosthodontics Department, Faculty of Dentistry/Jordan University of Science and Technology and a Former Assistant Dean / Faculty of Dentistry/ Jordan University of Science and Technology.

He is currently involved in teaching undergraduate and graduate students in all field of Prosthodontics in addition to involvement in advanced programs for MFDS Trainees, High specialty trainees and advanced clinical trainees in Prosthodontics

He supervised several MSc students as a main and a co advisor and as an examiner for 27 theses in all disciplines of Prosthodontics with more than 49 publications in high impact international journals. In addition, he works as a reviewer for 41 International Peer reviewed Journals and on editorial board of 39 International Journals. He attended more than 39 local and international conferences and more than 24 workshops in disciplines of Implant dentistry, Prosthodontics, Cone Beam CT, Dental education, Quality assurance and health informatics.

He was a Member of the International advisory group formed by FDI for publishing the Dental Ethics Manual in 2007 and carried out its translation into Arabic Language to be available to all Arabic natives.
