Proffesor James Prichard


Dr James Prichard was born and raised in Coventry. He became qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1994 and subsequently returned to general practice in Coventry. Since then Dr Prichard has established a successful referral centre taking advanced endodontic cases from other dentists. He is a nationally renowned teacher in endodontics delivering hands-on courses and interactive lectures throughout the United Kingdom.

In his roles as both Associate Clinical Teacher and Clinical Supervisor in the Masters level Endodontics programme at the University of Warwick, Dr Prichard delivered academic training to the full-time students. He has been widely published in dental academic journals including the International Endodontic Journal, the British Dental Journal and Endodontic Practice.

Dr Prichard has also demonstrated the latest advances in endodontic technology for Schottlander at the Dental Showcases since 2004. Dr Prichard gained his Masters Degree (MSc) in restorative dental practice with distinction from the Eastman Dental Institute for his dissertation titled “An in-vitro study into the effect of ultrasonic irrigation variables on the dimensions of artificial root canals.”

He also holds a Bachelor in Dental Surgery and License in Dental Surgery (LDS) from The Royal College of Surgeons and MFGDP qualifications. In November of 2011 he was awarded a fellowship from the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics in New York. Dr Prichard currently serves as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons for the MJDF qualification and is completing the final stages of his fellowship after which he will sit for the FFGDP.
