Adam  is a highly experienced clinician with a special interest in  Restorative & Aesthetic Dentistry, Digital Dentistry and Implantology.  He is a respected lecturer and mentor in the field of 3D radiolograpy, digital dentistry, implant planning and template guided implant placement.

In 2013 he completed a Master of Science degree in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry  from the University Of Manchester, achieving a Distinction and is currently researching  guided implantology for a PhD at Leeds University.

Adam lectures and Mentors on the Restorative and Aesthetics MSc for Manchester University and is Course Director and Lecturer for the SMOP Guided Implant System. He currently sits as President of the International Digital Dental Academy, co-founding the unbiased platform for Digital Dentistry along with the Digital Dental Academy Courses. Shortlisted, Finalist and Winner of several industry awards, from Best Young Dentist 2013,2014,2015 and 2017 to Best Dental Team and Best Oral Health Promoter 2014 & 2015 and winner of several categories in the 2015 and 2018 Aesthetic Dentistry Awards.


Dr Chris Lefkaditis Digital Dentistry Module Leader

Chris qualified as a dental scientist in 1989. He later studied dentistry and qualified as a GDP in 1995 from the University ofPretoria, South Africa.  He worked as an associate for 3 years for an NHS anaesthetic dental centre in Norwich Centre offering general dentistry and minor oral surgery under general anaesthesia and sedation. Over the 3 years, he attended many postgraduate day courses in different disciplines of dentistry.

In 1998, he decided to start his own referral practice and attended a year course in oral implantology with Dr Eddie Scher from 1998 –1999, and in the year 2000, returned to University to complete a postgraduate higher diploma on dentistry, taking MFS and applied surgical anatomy as my major subjects.

In 2003 he commenced a year course In Occlussion and TMJ Disorders as the need for prosthetically driven surgery became apparent. Chris is the principal of HELLESDON DENTAL CARE a Private only practice undertaking all types of dental procedures under sedation and anaesthesia, including conservation, prosthodontic work (crown and bridgework, removable prostheses), periodontics and minor oral surgery. 

His special interests include Dental Implantology and Rehabilitative Dentistry, with a great interest in cosmetic dentistry and his practice operates as a referral centre for Norfolk and Suffolk since 1998, accepting referrals for oral surgery sedation and dental implants.  

He is one of the three founding members and a course director for the Digital Dental Academy and regularly provides courses to share his knowledge and experience with the aim to inspire colleagues to adopt modern technologies with good working protocols.

Chris was one of the pioneers of Digital Dentistry in the UK, having mastered the CEREC CADCAM system and chairside ceramics since CEREC 3D entered the UK market in 2004. Chris is widely respected as a dental materials Master, with an unparalleled knowledge in CAD CAM materials and the treatment of these materials in practice and the lab.

The combination of his knowledge of CAD/CAM dentistry and implantology has also enabled Chris to be at the forefront of guided implant surgery having used several generations of computer aided design software since 2005.

Chris is a respected lecturer and approved mentor by ITI and ADI as well as sedation registered mentor with SAAD and uses this vast knowledge in his role as Vice President of the International Digital Dental Academy.

Patrik Magnus Fredrik Zachrisson Digital Dentistry Module Leader

Mr Patrik Zachrisson is a partner of Wensleydale Dental Practice, a nine surgery practice with in house Damas registered dental laboratory. He graduated as a Dental Surgeon from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden in 1996, He provides general dental care for a broad patient base, focusing mainly on aesthetic treatments and preventive dentistry, with a particular interest in restorative dentistry, orthodontics, Implantology, digital dentistry and mentoring. He provides treatments Privately, Denplan and NHS, holds both a PDS and GDS contract with the NHS (general and orthodontic contracts).

Patrik Zachrisson is a mentor for the UCLan MSc course in implantology via the Visiting Specialist Services. His practice, The Wensleydale dental practice, is one of a few accepted training centres for the VSS MSc course in implantology.
He is currently completing his MSc  research dissertation  in digital dentistry with COLDS.

Patrik Zachrisson has been  for many years a member of the Local Dental Committee and is currently the Treasurer.Patrik Zachrisson has been accredited a Platinum provider for Invisalign orthodontics.

Patrik Zachrisson has earned fellowship status in The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI). He  is a Key Opinion Leader with CEREC by Dentsply Sirona, a leader in digital Dental technologies and Planmeca,provider of dental equipment intraoral scanners, milling machines and 3D printers.


Patrik is a founding partner and course director for Digital Dental Academy, teaching and mentoring fellow dentists advanced techniques in Restorative, Implant Dentistry & Orthodontics in digital dentistry. He is also an international speaker on implants, orthodontics and digital dentistry. He is Vice President of the International Digital Dental Academy and is on the orthodontic and on the laboratory committees.

Dr. Quintus D.F van Tonder Digital Dentistry Module Leader

Dr van Tonder qualified at the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Province, South Africa in 2000 with a BChD degree. After completion of his studies, he worked for a year in a state clinic in the Mosselbay region in South Africa.  During this time, he treated thousands of underprivileged patients in need of care. In 2001 he moved to the UK.

In 2011 he completed a diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry taking a keen interest in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry. He loves technology and is constantly looking to implement the latest innovations in his practices that will benefit his patients.  One of these is the CEREC System.

Since investing in his first CEREC system in 2013, he has completed a tremendous amount of training and has built up a wealth of experience in working with this system to create beautiful smiles and restore patients’ dentition, not only functionally, but also aesthetically. 

Currently, he is working on a project to develop 3D printing for use in his practices. With this project he aims to create a digital workflow for printing intra oral appliances, digital wax-ups and direct mock-ups of smile designs.

He is currentlya beta tester forIvoclar and VOCO, trialling new software and equipment.

He has also been a Foundation Dentist Trainer passing on his knowledge by giving lectures to dentists in aesthetic dentistry.

He is also actively involved in charity work and is currently serving as a trustee for Loving by Giving (www.lovingbygiving.com).

Dr Dan ShafferDigital Dentistry Senior Lecturer

Dan is an experienced dentist who has a passion and flair for all things digital. His dental practice, a private digital restorative practice in hertfordshire, is well respected in the area by patients and dental professionals alike.

He utilises digital technology to enable high quality, efficient restorative techniques to take place in a workflow that makes practical sense. He manufactures the vast majority of dental restorations in-house and also runs a full service dental laboratory. 

Being a registered technician as well as a practising dentist gives Dan a unique insight into technically demanding cases both from the laboratory and clinical points of view.

Over the past decade he has been training dentists and other professionals on behalf of Dental Protection Ltd, delivering countless workshops and in-house training programmes in the UK and abroad. Subjects include Medicolegal risk, Management of adverse outcomes, Difficult interactions in dental practice, Consent/ Shared decision making and Clinical record keeping. He is passionate about encouraging the safer practising of dentistry in the UK.

Dan is also a trainer for hospital teams and health care professionals within hospital environments. He lectures and trains on behalf of the charity SANDS on subjects including Improving bereavement care, Informed consent, Healthcare choices, Adverse outcomes and Fatal incident recovery. He is also involved with maintaining support groups for bereaved parents.

He has a wealth of experience in NHS, private and community based dentistry. He taught as a clinical teacher at Guy’s hospital, London in the Prosthodontics department for six years. He is a registered external professional advisor to the Health Service Ombudsman and is a keen advocate for entrepreneurship and innovation in medical fields.

Dan believes that dental care in its modern form is most certainly team care. He encourages all members of the team to gain valuable skills within their scope of practice to enable them to reach their full professional potentials.
